    Arrival in Katunayake Airport & transfer to the hotel.
    Excursion to the outskirts of the hotel for bird watching.
    Dinner & overnight stay at Club Hotel Dolphin, Waikkal(Negombo) More than 60 species of birds can be observed here. Some of the possible highlights are: Common Sandpiper, Little Ringed Plover, Purple Coot, Painted Stork, Stork Billed Kingfisher and others.

  • Waikkal - Kitulgala

    Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards breakfast proceed to Kithulgala
    On arrival check-in at the hotel. Evening free for bird watching. Dinner & overnight stay at Plantation Hotel, Kithulgala
    Kithulgala most famous as the location for the movie: Bridge on the river qwai, is one of the most scenic locations in Sri Lanka and also a reknowed for many nature and adventure related activities which include White Water Rafting.
    Birds to be seen in this area include the Sri Lankan Wood Pigeon, White Faced Starling, Greenbilled Coucal, Sri Lanka Magpie, Red Faced Malkoha, Malabar Trogon, Sri Lanka Orange-billed Babbler, Sri Lanka Chestnut-backed Owlet and the lesser Yellow Nape.

  • Kitulgala - Sinharaja

    Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards proceed to Sinharaja Rainforest, via Ratnapura.
    In Ratnapura visit the Gem City.
    On arrival check in at hotel in Sinharaja.
    Overnight stay at: Rain Forest Edge
    Sinharaja is surrounded by 22 villages with a population of approximately 5000 people Numerous ancient footpaths exist inside the reserve and there are three major footpaths ruining across the forest.
    Out of the Birds recorded in the western sector of the reserve, 72% were resident non-endemic and 13% migrants. One of the most interesting and colorful spectacles to be found in the Sinharaja is the presence of mixed species of foraging bird flocks, a phenomenon commonly found in rain forests total of 100 such flocks were systematically observed, and studies have revealed that some flocks contained 48 species including 12 endemic species. The rare endemic birds to be seen in Sinharaja are the Red-faced Malkoha, the Sri Lanka Blue Magpie, the Ashy-headed Barbbler, and the White - headed Starling and the Green – billed Coucal the rarest of Sri Lankan birds.

  • Sinharaja - Udawalawe

    Breakfast at the hotel, Afterwards, proceed to Udawalawe National Park.
    On arrival checking and free at leisure.
    In the late evening do a Jeep safari at Udawalawa National Park.

    Udawalawe national park is known as one of the best parks in the Island for bird watching. The endemic Red Faced Malkoha is has chosen the park as its favorite habitat. Eagles including the Serpent Eagle, Hawk Eagle, White Bellied Sea Eagle, Black Eagle, as well as Black Capped Bulbul, Racket Tailed Drongos, Malabar Pied Horn Bills, White Necked Storks, Open Bills, Ibis, Shama - The forest Nightingale, Strol Billed Kin Fishers and peacocks can be seen here.
    Some of the migrant birds include forest wagtail, Indian Pitta, Whiskered Tern, Osprey Sand Piper and Terns.

  • Udawalawe - Yala

    Morning safari at Udawalawe National Park. Breakfast at the hotel.
    Afterwards proceed to Bundala.
    On arrival do a Bird safari at Bundala National Park. Afterwards proceed to Elephant Reach hotel, Yala. o Dinner & overnight stay at Elephnat Reach Hotel, Yala
    Bundala National Park is a a wetland of international importance for migratory waterfowl, mainly consisting of dry thorny scrubland and lagoons. The migratory Greater Flamingo, visiting in large flocks of over 1000 can be considered as the highlight of the attractions for Bird watching enthusiasts. Among other birds the Indian Cormorant, Yellow Bittern, Black-crowned Night and Purple Herons are also other possible highlights.

  • Yala

    Breakfast at the hotel.
    Afterwards, proceed to Yala national park and do a jeep safari.
    The Yala national park is mainly semi-arid thorny-scrub, with pockets of fairly dense forest. Yala also got few patches of mangrove vegetation among the costal lagoons. A large number of important cultural ruins bear testimony to earlier civilizations and indicate that, much of the area was populated and well developed.

  • Yala - Nuwara Eliya

    Breakfast at the hotel. Afterwards proceed to Nuwara Eliya.
    On arrival check-in and free at leisure.
    Afterwards in the late afternoon enjoy a walk in the Town also known as little England. The city was founded by Samuel Baker, the discoverer of Lake Albert and the explorer of the Nile in 1846. Nuwara Eliya's climate lent itself to becoming the prime sanctuary of the British civil servants and planters in Ceylon.
    Nuwara Eliya, called Little England then, was also a hill country retreat where the British colonialists could immerse in their pastimes such as fox hunting, deer hunting, elephant hunting, polo, golf and cricket. Many of the buildings retain features from the colonial period such as the Queen's Cottage, General's House, Grand Hotel, Hill Club, Town Post Office and even new hotels are often built and furnished in the colonial style. Anyone who visits the city can wallow in its nostalgia of bygone days by visiting these landmark buildings. Many private homes still maintain their old English-style lawns and gardens.
    After breakfast Proceed to Horton Plains.

  • Nuwara Eliya

    Breakfast at the hotel.
    Afterwards do an excursion to Horton Plains.
    The Horton Plains form the eastern extremity of the UNESCO World Heritage Peak Wilderness Sanctuary extending through the alpine ruggedness for some 40 kilometers. Among the highlights include Black eagles, blue magpies.
    Dinner & overnight at Tea Factory Hotel, Nuwara Eliya.

  • Nuwara Eliya - Kandy

    Breakfast at the hotel.
    Afterwards proceed to Kandy, en route visit a tea factory and tea estate.
    On arrival check-in at the hotel.
    In the early afternoon do a trekking excursion to Udawatte sanctuary. Afterwards, do a city tour of Kandy.
    Then witness a cultural dance show. Later visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic.
    KANDY was the last stronghold of the Buddhist political power against colonial powers. It is also the home of the Temple of the Tooth relic. It’s Sri Lanka’s second largest city.
    UDAWATTAKELE is a famous bird watching site with over 80 avifaunal species been recorded from the sanctuary. Among the endemic birds: Layard's Parakeet, Yellow-fronted Barbet, and Brown-capped Babbler can be seen here. One of the rarely seen birds at Udawatta Kelle is the Three-toed Kingfisher. The commonly seen ones include: Sri Lanka Myna, Golden-fronted Leafbird, Blue-winged Leafbird, Spotted Dove, Emerald Dove, Tickell's Blue Flycatcher, Crimson-fronted Barbet, Brown-headed arbet and Black-backed Kingfisher are common in the forest. Dinner & overnight stay at Hotel Tree of Life, Kandy.

  • Sigiriya

    Breakfast at the hotel.
    Afterwards, proceed to Sigiriya. En route visit an organic herb and spice garden in Matale.
    In Dambulla visit the UNESCO World Heritage Cave Temple.
    Afterwards check in at the Hotel. In the late afternoon do a bird watching excursion on the lookout for dry zone birds on the outskirts of the hotel.
    Dinner & overnight stay at Sigiriya Village, Sigiriya

  • Sigiriya

    After breakfast, climb and sightseeing of the UNESCO World Heritage Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
    Afterwards go on a bullock cart ride to a village to Sri Lankan village and experience the traditional Sri Lankan villages life.
    In the late afternoon, do a bird watching excursion to the Sigiriya sanctuary and later in the Habarana area.

  • Sigiriya - Negombo

    Afterwards transfer to Katunayake airport for the departure flight
